New York · The Lighthouse, Brooklyn
We are hiring.
We are a small creative house in New York. Filmmakers, editors, and a few people who write code.
We make video and content for established companies with real expertise and no way to show it.
Creative Producer
Three flexible days a week, $3,250 to $3,900 a month. Starts with a three-month trial.
We’re a small creative house that films companies from the inside. We shoot live events, podcasts, interviews and brand films in New York, and our editors in Istanbul cut them overnight. Our team’s work has run for Netflix, Oracle NetSuite and IBM.
We’re looking for a producer who loves building things. You like taking a project from the first call to the finished film and keeping a team pointed the same way while you do it. You catch small problems early. You care about telling stories, and you want to help build a business at the same time.
We’re starting to make more of our own creative work alongside the client work, so a real love of storytelling matters here.
What the work looks like
Most weeks start with our anchor client, a pharma ingredient company with something to say every week. You find out what it is and get it made. From there you’re running projects end to end: briefing the editors, watching the cuts when they come back from Istanbul, and saying clearly what’s working and what isn’t. When we win a shoot, you produce it and run the day, which means driving to location with the gear more often than not. New inquiries come in every week, and you’re the one who answers them and gets them moving. You know your way around Resolve, so when an edit needs a hand, you open the project and jump in.
The other big part of the job is community. We’re building Vantage Creative, a community for filmmakers and business builders, out of the Lighthouse campus in Greenpoint. You’d help build it from the ground up: getting the right people in the room, planning meetups and events, and keeping the people who come connected to each other and to the work.
Who we’re hoping to meet
You’ve produced real shoots, you’re comfortable running one, and people have relied on the schedules you built. You know DaVinci Resolve and you understand editing well enough to give real notes and make changes yourself. You notice when something is off, in a cut or a call sheet, and you fix it. You’re comfortable using AI tools in your workflow and your communication. You’re interested in building community, not just finishing projects. You have a driver’s license. You don’t wait to be told what to do. You’re usually the person on set who says “we can make that work.”
It’s a plus if you can pick up a camera when a shoot needs one more, if you’ve done some marketing, if you can make a clean static in Canva, Figma or Adobe, or if you’ve managed people or run events and meetups. If you’d enjoy being on camera talking about your work, even better. We’re building out a studio, and we’d like the people behind the work to be in front of it sometimes too.
Early in your career or twenty years in, we care about the work more than the years.
Why you might want this
If you want to learn more about cinematography, building a business, making content and building a community, you’d get to do all of it here.
What comes with the job:
- You work out of the Lighthouse campus in Greenpoint, side by side with the founder.
- You work with a content team and have access to studios for making content.
- If you have content you want to make, we’ll produce it with you and give it a production budget for our channel.
- You have a real say in the company as we grow, and there’s a lot of room to grow with it.
- You work from home often. We’re not always on campus, so plenty of your days are remote.
- Your days are flexible. If you need a day for a shoot or another freelance job, talk to us and we’ll work it out.
You’d be getting in early. We’re setting up how we work right now. There’s also more to Vantage than this page shows. Some of what we’re proudest of is still being built, and you’d see it before anyone else does.
When we win new client work with a qualifying budget, there’s project pay on top of your base, so you earn more as we win more. We’d like this to be something we build together.
The three-month trial
We’re starting with a three-month trial, so we can both see if this fits. By the end of it we’d hope our anchor client’s work runs through you from start to finish, we’ve landed a new client, every inquiry gets a quick and clear answer, and anyone on the team can see where a project stands without having to ask.
The details
Three days a week, and the days are flexible. If you need a day for a shoot or another freelance job, let us know and we’ll organize the week around it together. Some days are with the founder at the Lighthouse campus in Greenpoint. Plenty are from home, since we’re not always on campus. Base pay is $3,250 to $3,900 a month for the three days ($31 to $38 an hour). When we win new client work with a qualifying budget, there’s project pay on top. It starts as a three-month trial. If it works for both of us, the role continues and can grow into full time.
How to apply
Click Apply now. It takes about twelve minutes: a link to work you’ve produced or cut, a few short answers, and one note on a film of ours. A person reads every application. If it looks like a fit, we’ll set up a 30-minute call with the founder, then a paid day working with us on something real.
If you have questions first, email jobs@vantagecreativehouse.com. We’d rather answer ten than have you guess. You can see our work at vantagecreativehouse.com.
Editor
You cut the work that goes out under our name.
Short films, social cuts, event recaps, founder films. Assemblies on Monday, a look by Wednesday, delivered before anyone asks.
You work beside our lead editor in Istanbul, so the room never sleeps.
Freelance to start, with room to grow into part or full time.
What you will do
- Cut brand films, event recaps and social from our footage.
- Build the three looks for a film and carry them through the whole set of cuts.
- Own motion and titles. Clean type, on brand, no fixing later.
- Sound that holds up. Mix, music, and a pass that does not need a specialist.
- Keep the project tidy. Bins, versions, exports, handoff.
- Use the AI tools we hand you for the parts of the job nobody should be doing by hand.
What we need you to have
- Two or more years cutting client work you can show us.
- Premiere or Resolve, and you are fast in whichever one you name.
- After Effects enough to build a lower third and a simple graphic.
- A story sense. You can tell us why your cut opens where it opens.
- You take notes well and you do not need them twice.
- Some overlap with New York hours.
How to apply
Send a reel and two full cuts, with a line on each about what the brief was.
No cover letter.
Shooter
You shoot the work. Interviews, events, b-roll, founder films.
Mostly New York, sometimes on the road, often at short notice.
You own the image on the day, and the footage lands clean in the edit that night.
What you will do
- Shoot interviews and events, solo or with a small crew.
- Light quickly and well in rooms you did not choose.
- Run sound when there is nobody else to run it.
- Hand over organized, labelled footage the same day.
- Work to a shot list from the director, and see what the shot list missed.
What we need you to have
- Two or more years shooting professionally, with a reel to show for it.
- Comfortable on Sony or Canon cinema bodies. Your own kit is a plus, not a must.
- Lighting and audio you can run without a second person.
- Calm on a client set. Nobody there should be able to tell it is a hard day.
- A driver's licence helps.
- Based in or near New York.
How to apply
Send a reel, and one interview setup you lit, with a photo of the setup.
No cover letter.
Solutions Builder
Vantage Solutions connects the films we make to the places a business grows: Instagram, the website, the inbox, the pipeline.
You build that layer. A finished film on Monday, living on a page by the end of the week, catching leads and passing them on with the follow-up ready.
Freelance to start, with room to grow into part or full time.
What you will build
- Pages that carry a film. Landing pages, founder pages and websites where the film does the talking.
- Paths from attention to a lead. Social flows, forms, quizzes and offers.
- Pipelines. Leads from every channel in one place, in the tools the client already uses.
- Ways to be found. Content that search engines and AI assistants can find and quote.
- Proof. Simple reporting that shows a client what their content earned.
- Our own site, and the systems behind the studio.
What we need you to have
- Real websites or landing pages you built and shipped, that people use.
- Forms connected to a CRM, and automations that run on their own.
- You build with AI every day, and check what it makes before it ships.
- Taste. The page has to deserve the film.
- You can explain what you built to a founder in plain English.
- You manage yourself, and fix what is broken before anyone asks.
The skills
Nobody has all of these. Tell us which you are strongest at, and which you want to learn.
- Web. HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Webflow or Framer. Fast, responsive pages. Animation and scroll effects, for example with GSAP.
- Video on the web. Compression, formats, poster frames, streaming, and video that moves as people scroll.
- Hosting and code. Git and GitHub, Vercel or similar, domains and DNS.
- Social funnels. Instagram and Meta automations like comment-to-DM, link-in-bio pages, QR codes.
- Forms and offers. Lead forms, quizzes, downloadable guides, booking pages and the flows that follow.
- CRM and automation. Go High Level, HubSpot or similar. Zapier or Make. Webhooks and APIs.
- Email. Sequences, newsletters and welcome series that send on their own.
- Data. Supabase, Postgres or spreadsheets, and keeping customer data private and safe.
- Search and AI search. Technical SEO, schema, pages built to be quoted by AI assistants, YouTube titles and chapters.
- Tracking and reporting. Analytics, pixels, UTM links, and a simple monthly report or dashboard.
- AI tools. Claude and similar, good prompts, simple agents and automations.
- Design and words. A clean layout, for example in Figma, and a headline that lands.
- Working with film. Files from editors, captions, transcripts and short cut-downs.
How to apply
Send links to two things you built that are live today, and what your part was.
Then one short paragraph: a founder has a great film and no leads. What do you build first, and why?
We read everything. If it is a fit, a short call, then a paid trial day building something small and real with us.
How we work
Plain language. Short messages. Decisions up front.
