A live event film for NASA and IBM.

Made by Vantage Creative House.

The film.

The brief.

A film on the NASA and IBM installation at the Oculus in New York.

It marked fifty years since the moon landing.

Transcript.

We're working on a project with IBM for their 50th anniversary of the lunar landing.

It's a very important project for us, because we're in a sense redefining the pipeline of our projects, by using machine learning to track people as they interact with the content, and real time graphics.

The pipeline we're using for this whole project, the floor, AI, RGB, body tracking, these are all things we've done separately, but never integrated together at this level.

We've gone through many iterations of how to go about it, and it was clear the technology is there, but our programmers and designers had to integrate it and make it do what we wanted it to do.

This whole project came about because we wanted people to be able to run around freely on the moon.

Walking up and experiencing the massive scale of a moon inside the Oculus.

Getting to the moon was one of the biggest things we could ever have done as humankind. So I think it's extremely significant that this installation is celebrating that piece of history in this place.
